Auction of Antique VehiclesOn October 8, 2005, I will be selling several antique horse drawn vehicles at Gardners Auction in Missoula, Montana. I plan to include the following:
1. Canopy top surrey with original appointments including carriage lanterns.
2. Two seated cutter (fancy light sleigh).
Not shown3. Albany cutter, sound materials but needing repairs.
4. Mountain buggy.
Not shown5. Studebaker wagon - with springs.
6. Lumber wagon running gear.
Not shown7. Hay mower.
Not shown8. Several plain work harnesses with steel reinforced wooden hames.
Not shownAll items except the mower have always been stored indoors. Items 4 and 5 were purchased directly from their original owner, John Fulton, in the late 1940's. He was a pioneer owner of the Big Ox Mine near Canyon Creek, Montana and special ordered the vehicles, including having springs installed on the Studebaker wagon.
Items 1, 3, and 5 are pictured on this blog. Because the other items are "packed away" behind other stored belongings and I live far from where they are currently stored, I am unable to provide photos at this time.
Sale will be held at Gardner's Auction, 4810 Highway 93 South, Missoula, MT. Visit the website: http://gardnersauction.com or contact gardners@montana.com (phone 406 251 2221) for time of sale and information about other antiques to be auctioned at the same sale.
